Coach Kirk Ferentz and the entire coaching staff of the 2002 Big Ten Champion Iowa Hawkeyes will conduct seminars and answer questions during both days of the clinic. The Iowa Football Coaching Clinic will be held in conjunction with the 2003 Iowa High School Coaches Distinguished Services Award Banquet.
Heading the list of outstanding speakers scheduled to appear at the clinic is Larry Kehres, head coach of Mt. Union College, Ohio, and
Dan Gable, former head wrestling coach at UI and head USA wrestling coach. Kehres, a seven-time AFCA Division III National Coach of the Year, has guided his team to seven Division III National Championships in the past 11 seasons, compiling an amazing 110-1 record in the process. In competition and in coaching, Gable’s name is synonymous with excellence. While coaching at the UI he led the Hawkeyes to 21 Big Ten team titles and 15 NCAA titles before being named “Sports Figure of the Century in Iowa” by Sports Illustrated.
