U-M beats outmanned Binghamton 67-39

Michigan took a 20 point lead into the lockerroom, then kept stretching it in the second stanza. Trey Burke led U-M with 19 points.
The game opened with sloppy play on both sides, and U-M led just 11-10 at the 12 minute mark.
Then U-M went on a 10-2 run as
Mitch McGary
and
Trey Burke
got layins, and Nik Stauskas and
Tim Hardaway
hit tre's, and U-M opened a 21-12 lead at the 9:00 break.
U-M hit the next 6 as well as
Jordan Morgan
hit 2 free throws,
Jon Horford
hit a layin, Burke hit a fast break layup, and and it was 27-12 at the 3:45 break.
Caris Lavert got a tipin off a McGary steal, and Burke hit a triple at the buzzer, and Michigan led 34-14 at the half.
Trey Burke led U-M in the first half with 10 points. U-M shot 48.1% and were 5-15 in three pointers. Binghamton shot just 27.3% for the half.

The teams traded baskets to start the second half, then Morgan hit a trailing layin and Burke a triple, and it was 44-19 Wolverines at the 16 minute mark.
Hardaway hit a triple, but Binghamton answered with two of 'em, and it was 47-27 at the 14 minute mark.
Stauskas hit a triple and Burke a floater to extend the lead back to 25, 52-27 at the 12 minute mark.
Burke hit another floater, McGary put in an offensive rebound, and Lavert made a layin to make it 58-31 at the 6 minute mark.
Horford threw down a slam, Burke hit a breakaway layin, and it was 62-31 at the 4:45 mark.
U-M started clearing the bench from there, and the game ended 67-39.
Trey Burke led U-M with 19 points, Nik Stauskas added 12. Mitch McGary had 8 rebounds. U-M shot 44.3%, and were 10-30 in triples.
U-M plays next on Saturday night versus
West Virginia
in the Brooklyn Hoops Winter Festival.
