Iowa advanced to the NIT Semifinals with a 75-64 win at Virginia Wednesday night.

Roy Devyn Marble netted 24 points Wednesday night to lead Iowa to a 75-64 victory at Virginia in the NIT Quarterfinals. The Hawkeyes advanced semis of this event for the first time in school history.

Iowa (24-12) will meet Maryland on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City (8 p.m. CT, ESPN2). The Terrapins are headed to the Big Ten in 2014-15.

The Hawkeyes snapped Virginia’s 19-game home winning streak, which dated back to Nov. 13 when it lost to Delaware. The Cavaliers (23-12) recorded a 9-0 record in the ACC this season. They downed North Carolina and Duke at the John Paul Jones Center.

Iowa freshman center Adam Woodbury scored 10 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the field on Wednesday. Junior Zach McCabe scored 10 off of the Hawkeye bench.

Marble has scored 76 points (25.3 PPG) in this year's three NIT games. He ended last season with a 31-point outburst at Oregon.

Iowa connected all 15 of its free throw attempts against the Cavs. The Hawkeyes iced the game with 14 of those foul shots coming in the final 3:09 of the game.
