Iowa pulled off another successful junior day on Saturday when it played host to prospects from around the Midwest and beyond. The Hawkeyes divided athletes into position meetings and held a session during which current players shared their experiences in the program and at the university.
Iowa's two verbal commitments in the Class of 2015, quarterback Jack Beneventi and Jake Newborg, a lineman, attended the event. They shared with the group why they chose to be Hawkeyes.
"I tell the other recruits how great everything is and that we can make a lot of noise in a few years," said Newborg, a junior at Inwood (Iowa) West Lyon.
Hawkeye Insider and Scout.com has been working on reactionary stories about the prospects that attended Iowa's junior day. To a player, they were impressed.
