Sean Fisher, a 6-5, 210 pound OLB prospect from Millard North HS In Omaha, Neb. had a productive week, with two junior days last weekend, and two offers since.
"I went to visit both Iowa and Iowa State last weekend," he said. "While I was at Iowa State, they offered while I was there. I got a chance to talk with the defensive coordinator and the head coach, Coach Chizik. I was really impressed with Coach Chizik. They told me there'd be a real good opportunity to play early there. I like that opportunity."
The Hawkeyes, who have been near the top of Fisher's list for a while, also finally came through with an offer.
"Iowa offered later in the week, after I'd been on the visit," he said. "I didn't get a huge change to talk with the coaches while I was at Iowa, but they did offer, on Thursday I think."
Both schools are near the top with Fisher right now, who said he favors Nebraska at this early point.
"Nebraska's at the top right now, I would say," Fisher said. "After visiting Iowa State this weekend, I was extremely impressed with them. Both them and Iowa are high on my list also."
"I'm still not real sure," Fisher said when asked about his timeline for a commitment. "It'll be earlier rather than later, not an end of the season type deal. The schools I'm interested in have offered. I'm not really looking to go out for a whole lot more. As far as an actual time frame, I'm not real sure. It's not going to be February."
Fisher said he's in the process of figuring out whether he'll take any camp visits this summer. He said if he does, it would be to the schools he's already interested in, and maybe Oklahoma, who he's been in contact with recently.
We'll stay in touch with Sean as he nears his decision.
