Q: How did you visit go?
Supo Sanni: It went great. It went better for Illinois, I committed to Illinois.
Q: How did you come to this decision?
Sanni: I was hoping to make my decision this week, so when I set up the visit, I was feeling pretty good. The coaching staff, they're an up and coming program, they're heading in the right direction, and a chance to early.
Q: How'd you tell them about it?
Sanni: I was in Coach Zook's office, and gave my verbal commitment after I was done talking to him.
Q: What'd he say?
Sanni: He was excited. They were my first offer, they've been recruiting me for a long time. They wanted me to commit a lot earlier. It was a long recruiting process.
Q: Who came in second?
Sanni: Definitely Iowa. After that, probably West Virginia. It was debatable, between Iowa and Illinois. Iowa is a great program, I love their coaching staff, Kirk Ferentz is a very genuine guy, but it just came down to feeling comfortable at Illinois.
Q: Are you done with your visits, taking calls from coaches?
Sanni: Definitely. I'm done with that headache, I'm happy. Official visits are tiring.
Q: Were you pretty set on Illinois coming in?
Sanni: Actually, I wasn't. I had Iowa and West Virginia right there. Once I got (to Champaign) I had that light bulb go off, I could see myself playing for them.
