Cedar Rapids prep wide receiver Keenan Davis confirmed via text to HawkeyeNation.com that he committed to the Iowa coaching staff today.
Davis, a 6-3, 195 pound prospect, is a four-star prospect as rated by Scout.com and one of the top 20 receivers in the nation.
Cotton is also expected to play receiver at Iowa, giving the Hawkeyes an athletic and speedy tandem for years to come.
Davis had offers from Illinois, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona State, Wisconsin and Minnesota, among others.
Davis becomes the fourth known verbal commitment in Iowa’s recruiting class of 2009, a year that may see the Hawkeyes add between 13 and 15 recruits to the program.
Iowa has their sights set on another highly rated in state prospect in Brandon Wegher from Sioux City. Wegher is down to five finalists, including Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas, and he may decide on his college plans before the end of this month and before the start of his senior season.
