As HawkeyeNation.com predicted the day after Iowa beat Penn State, the Iowa Hawkeyes will face the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2009 Outback Bowl on January 1st. Kickoff is 10:00am Iowa time, to be televised on ESPN. Michigan State will face Georgia in the Capital One Bowl.
This means that the BSC has selected two teams from the Big Ten, Penn State will play in the Rose Bowl and Ohio State will be an at large selection.
