IOWA CITY, Iowa - News hit on Tuesday that a second receiver thought to be coming back to Iowa next fall would be going in another direction.
Ngoumou attended prep school at Milford Academy this fall after failing to gain admittance to Iowa due to academics. He signed with the Hawkeyes as part of the 2009 recruiting class out of Wootton High in Rockville, MD, where he caught 71 balls for more than 1,100 yards as a senior. He spent last summer in Iowa City before it came down that he needed to raise his grades.
While at Milford, Ngoumou verbally committed to Iowa as part of its 2010 Class. According to the Milford website, the receiver caught one pass this season for seven yards.
