2005 STATS: (10 Games) - Recorded 62 tackles (three for a loss), 16 pass break-ups, and two interceptions. Returned 19 punts for 166 yards and 12 kickoffs for 210 yards. On offense, carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards.
Coach's Comments: "Jay can play either corner or safety in college," said head coach Chris Cunningham. "Anytime we needed to shut someone down, we went to him. We used him to play press man-to-man in corner, loose man-to-man at safety, and just to play support from safety. I know people want bigger corners these days, but I have no question, that Jay can play cornerback on the next level." |
